Getting Your TN Broker License

All Broker candidates must have:

Successfully completed 120 hours of approved education including 30 hours of Real Estate Office Management (90 hours of Affiliate Broker education counts toward this 120)

36 months of active license experience (24 months if licensed as an Affiliate Broker before May 1988)

Completed the Broker Examination Application

Passed the Tennessee Broker Exam

Real Estate Office Management

This course meets the TREC 30-hour office/brokerage management requirement. The Commission will not count this course for Affiliate Broker continuing education. Memphis Area Real Estate School offers Real Estate Office Management in a classroom format.
You may take this course at any time, but the Broker application will not be accepted until all 120 hours of education are completed.

Accelerated Review Course

The Broker exam also has National and Tennessee State Law sections. The required Real Estate Office Management course prepares you to be a broker but is not designed to prepare you to pass the exam. To study for this exam, you will need to study the same material as the Affiliate exam. The Broker exam will be very similar to the Affiliate exam; however, the Broker exam test questions will be more in depth.
If it has been quite a while since you have taken the Affiliate Broker exam, then you may want to take Memphis Area Real Estate Schools Accelerated Review Course to refresh yourself on the test content and practice taking exam questions.
